Vancouver 2007

Home Up

This is a shot of Greater Vancouver from the top of Grouse Mountain and the whole trip library can be

viewed from the Complete Pictures link. See the description below for some detail.

This year, we flew to Vancouver on Air Canada using Air Miles points (and a co-payment of $285 for fees and taxes)

and had arranged low cost accommodations to minimize the actual cost of travel. (Sorta worked... the trip still

maxed out at over $1400 including restaurants and such, but much less than full commercial travel) Our trip included

a drive up the Sea to Sky highway and a side trip to Shannon Falls, a brief visit to Stanley Park, a trip to a boat

museum where restorations were in progress, family pictures taken in Vancouver and Victoria, a walk through East

Sooke Park near Victoria, a trip to Deep Cove on the north shore, some sightseeing at English Bay, Gardens at

Queen Elizabeth Park, a trip to Grouse Mountain top with a lumberjack and birds of prey shows, a day trip to

Mount Baker in Washington and the Vancouver Lantern Festival.
